  • Shouldn't even give this place a 1 star rating. Most horrible place I have ever chosen to stay. The guy that works the 3PM-11PM shift has no clue what he's doing and isn't friendly AT ALL! No one working the lobby past 11PM, and just my luck; I come "home" from work at midnight and my key has apparently been deactivated (second time in the two days I have been there). $105 later and I am 15 miles from all of my belongings, but in a CLEAN room! Woman by the name of Lori that works the 7A-3P shift is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are good size, but very outdated and don't smell all that great! Most channels on the TV are nothing but static throughout the entire show you're watching. Bathroom is nice and water gets hots, but the sink and "closet" area are too small. Room had no deadbolt -- I let Lori know and she had maintenance fix it quickly. I would go on and on about this place, but I will leave that for someone else. I most definitely wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. I will say, the bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept on. As soon as I can find somewhere else nearby, I will be checking out.

  • Just saying, I've been at this hotel for nearly 7 months and LOVE IT, the staff here are the greatest people. The manager Luella is the best she goes out her way to help all. Not only is she the best manager I've every dealt with she treats the guest and staff with respect. I've traveled all over thr United States and stayed in many hotels but not any compare to this one. The owner is making the biggest mistake ever by letting her go. She has done this place good. I made this place home because of my job and LOVE IT, I can't say enough about it. I could of stayed anywhere but chose here. I would still be there now if the hurricane didn't make me leave. This is to the owner I ask you to PLEASE think about letting her go she really is the best for your place. I hope this make you think about it. I hope it isn't hurt to bad from hurricane I really love it there. DON'T LET HER GO PLEASE. THANK YOU KELLEY HOWELL

  • Even in the wake of devastation (Hurricane Harvey) the staff, manager, housekeepers, grounds keepers, guests and neighbors are so incredibly broken and yet still so so friendly and inviting! You literally feel at home. The rooms are clean, the towels are fresh and the location is easy to find! I cannot say enough good things about econo lodge! Will definitely come back and stay again!

  • Still not fully renovated. Very run down from the hurricane. Excellent breakfast! Cooked as in front of you the way you order it.

  • This was the worst experience I have ever had when dealing with a hotel! My boyfriend, daughter, and myself walked into our hotel room and was extremely disappointed. The smell was so awful. Musky and moldy. We decided to just deal with it for just one night. My daughter and myself took a quick shower and noticed mosquitoes in the bathroom. Then noticed them throughout the whole room. We were getting bitten. Then we noticed the carpet was very wet in the front of the room.... there was a HUGE gap at the bottom of the front door to the outside. I could fit my hand under and out out the door. That was it... I wanted to find somewhere else to stay. I walked to the office and talked to the "manager" who was extremely rude and not wanting to let us out of our reservation and give us a refund. I convinced her to come to our room to look at what I had told her. The whole time she was making excuses for why things were the way the were. Room filled with mosquitoes. Soaked carpet. Huge gap under the door to the outside. Mold around the baseboards. And the smell!!!! There is no excuse for these things. But because my daughter and I took a shower, she REFUSED to give us a refund. I was even willing to pay a portion for taking a shower but she wasn't having it. She was so rude and should not be in this industry. I am contacting corporate to try and get our money back. Needless to say, we got another hotel right up the road and it was wonderful customer service with beautiful room for only 50 bucks more.
