  • Just saying, I've been at this hotel for nearly 7 months and LOVE IT, the staff here are the greatest people. The manager Luella is the best she goes out her way to help all. Not only is she the best manager I've every dealt with she treats the guest and staff with respect. I've traveled all over thr United States and stayed in many hotels but not any compare to this one. The owner is making the biggest mistake ever by letting her go. She has done this place good. I made this place home because of my job and LOVE IT, I can't say enough about it. I could of stayed anywhere but chose here. I would still be there now if the hurricane didn't make me leave. This is to the owner I ask you to PLEASE think about letting her go she really is the best for your place. I hope this make you think about it. I hope it isn't hurt to bad from hurricane I really love it there. DON'T LET HER GO PLEASE. THANK YOU KELLEY HOWELL

  • Even in the wake of devastation (Hurricane Harvey) the staff, manager, housekeepers, grounds keepers, guests and neighbors are so incredibly broken and yet still so so friendly and inviting! You literally feel at home. The rooms are clean, the towels are fresh and the location is easy to find! I cannot say enough good things about econo lodge! Will definitely come back and stay again!

  • This was the worst experience I have ever had when dealing with a hotel! My boyfriend, daughter, and myself walked into our hotel room and was extremely disappointed. The smell was so awful. Musky and moldy. We decided to just deal with it for just one night. My daughter and myself took a quick shower and noticed mosquitoes in the bathroom. Then noticed them throughout the whole room. We were getting bitten. Then we noticed the carpet was very wet in the front of the room.... there was a HUGE gap at the bottom of the front door to the outside. I could fit my hand under and out out the door. That was it... I wanted to find somewhere else to stay. I walked to the office and talked to the "manager" who was extremely rude and not wanting to let us out of our reservation and give us a refund. I convinced her to come to our room to look at what I had told her. The whole time she was making excuses for why things were the way the were. Room filled with mosquitoes. Soaked carpet. Huge gap under the door to the outside. Mold around the baseboards. And the smell!!!! There is no excuse for these things. But because my daughter and I took a shower, she REFUSED to give us a refund. I was even willing to pay a portion for taking a shower but she wasn't having it. She was so rude and should not be in this industry. I am contacting corporate to try and get our money back. Needless to say, we got another hotel right up the road and it was wonderful customer service with beautiful room for only 50 bucks more.

  • Only two small feather pillows per queen sized bed is not enough. Made-to-order hot breakfast was good. Vanity and sink space (just outside of enclosed toilet and shower space) is cramped with clothes rack serving as a "closet" and partially blocking the counter space. Pool was okay. Rotting wood was crumbling on landing at the top of the stairs outside our door. Doors were difficult to open. Some buildings seemed to have been recently given a face lift, but our section was ugly with little curb appeal. The place needs some TLC. There were a few good workers, but they were over-worked. (One excellent lady who was cooking breakfast in the morning was working at the front desk later the same evening!) Other workers seemed unreliable. In fact, we were told that we couldn't get a downstairs room when we checked in because they had not been cleaned that day!
