Pasabag or the Monks Valley is a remarkable site with eight pillars in the middle of the vineyard next to the road. It is stunning to see these pillars balancing precariously. Some of the cones are split into smaller parts in their top sections. The hermits used to take refuge here. The Chapel dedicated to St Simeon and a hermit’s shelter is built on one of the chimneys with three heads. The entrance of the cell is adorned with antithetical crosses.
