Situated on the Gladdice Highway, the Wartrace Creek Recreation Area is just nine miles away from the city of Gainesboro. The Creek has shady maple trees, chestnut, beech, and oak. It houses abundant wildlife including animals like wild turkeys and waterfowl. The park acquires an area of about 12000-acre. Visitors can also enjoy fishing for rare fishes like rockfish, catfish, shad, and crappie.
