1 roller coaster, 15 rides, carnival games and souvenir shops. Very standard, but very well done. The pier has been built to replace an older Pleasure Pier that was destroyed by hurricanes. Though this won’t be the best amusement park you’ve ever seen, it’s definitely got a cozy sort of charm that’s perfect for Galveston. Four hours here will pass quickly!

Pleasure Pier is awesome! The beach and local stores, restaurants, and hotels are nice as well. Great place for a family day out or weekend getaway. You have to pay 10.00 dollars just to walk on the pier. In my opinion, it should be free for people to walk and see the attractions. Had a good time.
Had a wonderful dinner at Fishtails then walked over to Pleasure Pier. At the end of the pier was a band of young kids and they played some good music. Sat and enjoyed ourselves for about 2 hours. We will definitely go back!
Be ready to have fun, laugh, smile and spend money! My husband and I had a great time together we managed to spend $100 JUST on games! (Two adults being big kids) I'm happy to say we DID win "Bob the unicorn" AND "Bubbles the blue gator" teddy so it was well worth the money just for the smiles we had and the memories we made. Bring cash with you it's easier to pay for things and I always think safer too! The wait getting onto the pier was fast moving and the staff were all friendly, they work hard to keep the lines moving. They had a live band at the other end of the pier, lots of yummy junk food (forget healthy eating here) cold drinks, and even beer. We went on the big Ferris wheel, that didn't take long to get on their either. (I'm not a fan of waiting in long lines especially in this heat!) Seeing the beautiful sunset at the very top was a great way to end our fun day. I'm happy to say it was an all-around fun experience. Go give it a try and have a good time! 💓 Instagram @Englishvanilla7
READ THIS 🚨 I went to Galveston to go to pleasure pier w my friends and all of them are 16 except me. They didn’t let me in but i turn 16 in about 2 months. Freaking ridiculous. I had to get a random lady who pretended to be my mom just to go to a pier that has 1 rollarcoaster. Then after i got in having fun, this Worker walked up to me and asked me my Age. I proceeded to tell her the situation and how I’m the only one of my friends who is 15. She then kicked out all of us. Even my guardian who was having fun on a date with her boyfriend. THE WEBSITE SAYS NOTHING ABOUT HAVING TO BE A CERTAIN AGE TO ENTER ALONE. It was absolutely ridiculous. Never EVER spending a single dime there and will get all of my friends and their friends and parents to never go there ever again. This place is a running scam do NOT go.
We had a great time. You can go on rides, eat food, play games, or drive bumper cars. The cost to get in was expensive. If you have a Landry’s select card you can get discounted tickets. The food and drinks at the snack shops were expensive. All of the employees were very nice to us. The parking lot to exit was ridiculously long. Apparently only one employee was able to check cars exiting and the line was wrapped around the entire lot. It took a long time to leave especially since it was a Saturday night. The only exit open was exiting to the Seawall and with all of the traffic on the Seawall it took a while. Smarter thing to do would’ve been to open the exit on the back side of the lot so that the cars exiting, once checked, were not being held up by the traffic (vehicles and pedestrians) on the Seawall. With this being the last thing you do when leaving the Pleasure Pier, it can leave a lasting impression.
