This was a great experience overall for my family and I. We were vacationing in Texas and spontaneously decided to go to Schlitterbahn. On this particular visit only a portion of the park was open, but we all had a great time. The operation ran smoothly and we were able to do everything we wanted to do. I was very impressed by the locker system where we stored our belongings. I liked how we were able to access our things anytime and it was all day access. We didn't eat in the park, but we took part in their endless refills on fountain and slushy drinks. I recommend this park.
It was very fun! I liked how I was able to bring in a full cooler of snacks and sodas and bottled waters without paying extra. Then found a picnic table near the lazy River and left my towels and shoes and the such there. Nobody messed with my stuff, and I actually saw others doing the same thing as I 'with the picnic table.' We all just kinda watched out for each other's stuff. Overall I'd say it is a good and wholesome environment for family fun.
Quaint. Went on one of the last days of the season. Because it was a week day they had a lot shut down but they decided to open the green and white water coaster which pleased a lot of people. Decent bathrooms. Swim up bar is cute and fun. Staff we dealt with were nice and helpful. If you're there in the summer, just keep in mind you have to walk on hot pavement to get around and it will feel like you're leaving parts of your feet behind if you aren't careful.
We always go during Hero’s week. Since I am a first responder, and our son is 1, we get in paying half price for my wife. Always worth the drive down when entrance is that cheap! And always a good and relaxing day with the family.
Fun and clean. My only complaint was that the worker who was supposed to be instructing everyone how/when to go down one of the slides ( I don't remember the name of the slides, but you go down using a tube) was literally laying down not saying a word to anyone. We had to rely on the lights above the slides to know if it was safe to go or not. Very dangerous and did not make me feel very safe at all.
