Ganesh Tok - Review
Ganesh Tok is a much loved tourist spot in Gangtok. Some say it is the best viewing sport for spectacular vistas of the city. Whether this is true or not, it is certainly a great place to visit while in Gangtok.
There is a small temple dedicated to the Hindu god Ganesh and the area atop a hill is also one of the most popular tourist attractions due to the amazing vistas it provides. You will also found a few small souvenir shops, kiosks and other tiny places along the way and at the top of the hill as well. The Kanchenjunga hill in all its glory can be seen from here and is not to be missed. The best time to witness it is in the morning.
A very interesting thing to do here is to dress up in the traditional clothes to take pictures. The area itself is stunning and all these little eccentricities make it and unforgettable experience.

Ganesh Tok, Gangtok Reviews
Its one of the view point at Gangtok to see the Kanchenjunga range of mountains. This place dwells with tourist all the time. Just opposite to Sikkim zoological park. A few steps raise you to the spectacular view of Gangtok ad well as the great Kanchenjunga. There is a lord Ganesha temple which brings the name to the place. I was not lucky to see Kanchenjunga because of the clouds during monsoon. Pleasant climate. Can spend some time in peace
This is a small and plain-ish Ganesh temple, surrounded by lots of shops selling snacks, souvenirs, photos, etc. But the main draw of this place are the scenic bird-eye views it offers of the Gangtok city spread across the surrounding hills. The Gangtok zoo is located bang opposite this place and that's also a good way to optimize your sight-seeing.
Its like the Shillong peak. In case u have not visited Shillong peak, its a high point. U can see most part of the city. There is the Ganesh temple. There is a new attraction called the 'Spooky house' near the parking place. Visit it, but its scary. Not recommended for children.
Ganesh Tok is one of the three prime viewpoints in Gangtok. The place derives its name from the temple of Lord Ganesha situated here. One of the major places of attraction for the tourists in the north-eastern state of Sikkim, the Ganesh Tok is one of the most well known temples in Sikkim. Standing at a height of 6,500 feet, the Ganesh Tok’s main deity is Lord Ganesh, who is one of the gods according to the religion of Hinduism. Like the Hanuman Tok, the Ganesh Tok offers a fascinating view of the surrounding regions. One can get a clear view of Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim.
A beautiful ganesha temple with a magnificent scenic view. It is accompanied by a pretty souvenir shop. Proper parking facility is available. Small eateries serving street food and a holistic view for perfect traditional photography. A must visit point to be included in gangtok city tour.
