Located 128 kilometres from Gangtok, the Shiv Mandir is located in the Yumthang valley. The name of the valley translates to ‘Valley of flowers’ and standing true to its name, the whole valley is a sea of flowers and greenery!
Around 7 kilometres from the hot spring, the entrance to the temple can be found.
The majestic statue of Lord Shiva sitting in a meditative state and blessing all those who pass by can be seen from a distance. A visit to the main temple containing the idols of Shiva, his wife Parvati and his son-Ganapati seated behind the main ‘Lingam’, complete the experience.
