The Maplewood Resort, Gangtok Reviews
Me and my husband stayed there for three nights. The first day they gave us a very bad room with bad towels and sheets and it was on the lowest floor with no view at all. After complaining they agreed to give us a suite room on the top which was more spacious with good facilities. The breakfast is okay though limited choices of North Indian food. The manager was a kind lady who was ready to help with requests. I like that the place is away from the main town and a bit more spacious for parking etc. The silence and coziness are enjoyable. I would advise other travellers if you are booking through the travel websites to insist on looking at photos of the room allotted and then decide to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
It's an awesome experience with this hotel. The Manager, house keeping stop and kitchen chef all were very humble, amiable and professional. If you are visiting for 2 days it is the best option for you. We have complained them for mosquito and bug they Immediately provided the solution and next day they changed the room as well. Food quality is also very good.
Wahiyat, I mean worst ever experience I had, booked by yatra and no one is bothering aboit service.
The place was fine but I expected it to be better. Some of the basic things like towels, bathroom slippers were lacking. The bed had a awkward separation which was not allowing to shuffle ourselves on the bed.
Good clean rooms. In house restuarant serves good food. Biggest drawback is the location, it just too far from the main city. Nothing much to do around this place.
