Gumbaz, Srirangapatna is a historic building which was established in the 17th century. It is a mausoleum where the visitors can find the graves of Hyder Ali and Fakr-Un-Nisa who were the parents of Tipu Sultan. This elevated building possesses a unique style of architecture as the square-shaped structure is enamelled with Amphibolites with granite pillars. The interior walls of the building are painted with tiger stripes to depict the symbol of Tipu Sultan. A charming garden is there which surrounds the Gumbaz, Srirangapatna, where the visitors are allowed to spend some of their time.
