Managed by North Carolina Forest Service and North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, the Bladen Lakes State Forest in Bladen County is a unspoilt nature getaway covering over 13330 hectares. This nature reserve comprises of eight compartments in its three parcels of landscapes. Bladen Lakes State Forest contributes to the conservation of the wildlife habitats, soil, forestry and recreational resources and earns its revenue from sustained timber and pine straw sales, charcoal cooking, prescribed burning and so on. You will love to explore the Cypress Swamp, Longleaf Straw Stand, Old Cemetery, River bottoms, Carolina Bays and the various resource operations.
