  • Can find maps for driving and hiking. The workers are very helpful. They have one of a kind items for sale and the " I went to the Smokies " items. Very helpful place to visit if you are not sure where you want to go in the smokies, what to see.

  • Gatlinburg is small and pedestrian friendly. Park your car here and ride the shuttle. It's way less hassle than trying to find parking in Gatlinburg after 8:00a.

  • I am a disabled veteran, I entered the welcome center to try to find out if there was and water falls in the area that could be enjoyed by a disabled person, I approached the counter and picked up a one dollar brochure on waterfalls I had it for less than a minute and one of the employees rushed over and got in my face because I was looking at it to see if it had the information in it I needed. I told her what information I was trying to obtain, she advised that she did not know and referred me to a elderly man she said was bored. I felt totally disrespected at which point I decided to go elsewhere other than Gatlinburg to spend my money.

  • If you are just spending the day in Gatlinburg, I highly recommend parking your car in the upper lot here and getting trolley tickets for the day. Parking in Gatlinburg is a premium (space and price). You can get trolley tickets here as well as maps information and unique gifts.
