I will never come back here. In Gatlinburg for the day and asked the cashier if he knew of any local locker storage for my regular, non-hiking backpack in Gatlinburg. (It is heavy with laptop and other valuables. I didn't want to schlep it around town.) He told me he didn't think so but mentioned their locker storage that is usually reserved for hikers but that he'd call and ask his manager if it was okay. He was very nice and trying to be accommodating. He explained to the manager over the phone that I wasn't a hiker. I'm assuming that she told him it was okay and that I just needed to sign a waiver. As I was filling out the waiver, she came to the cash wrap, clarified with him that I wasn't a hiker, yelled at him and then yelled at me in front of a very long line of customers. He didn't deserve that and I regret spending $75.00 there. I'm contemplating returning my merchandise. I was more than happy to seek elsewhere for a place to store my backpack, but the situation was not at all handled well by the manager on duty. Beware.
Visited in the beginning of September. Found some really great deals up top in the clearance area and had a great conversation with an employee of the store. Unfortunately I can't remember his name but it was fun to talk with him. This store has been a "must stop" every trip to Gatlinburg for the last decade. Each time the store is consistently clean, well stocked and welcoming. An excellent experience all around!
We always make an attempt to visit this gem of a store anytime we're in Gatlinburg. If you need outdoor supplies this should be you first place to look. Knowledge staff and great prices and quality.
I was here just b4 Christmas 2018. NOC has some great stuff. North Face ,Columbia , Patagonia, just to name a few. Conveniently located in the gateway of the Smokies. Camping gear to satisfy even the greatest of outdoorsman. Large facility, with handicap parking and restrooms
What can I but wow. We had guide Perry and he Made the trip that much better. For being on the river for only 6 weeks his passion and care showed. I had a 8 yr old and 9 yr old with me and never felt worried. We went through one heck of a storm but it made the experience better. Highly recommend this outfitter
