Literally meaning “Hell”, it is still unknown as to why the Helvete Potholes are called so. Known to be North Europe’s largest potholes, the site is located in a park that goes by the same name. It is a favourite amongst adventure seekers, and youngsters flock the park to explore these terrains. These potholes are said to have formed towards the end of the Ice Age, and the biggest one is around 40 meters deep with a diameter of 25 meters. The park hosts a number of events for tourists, and is also rich in flora and fauna. So, while here, take your time to explore this lovely wilderness.
