Bakircilar Carsisi - Review
Gaziantep is known for its copper. They say that the place has an expertise in the art of moulding copper since the last four centuries. Bakircilar Carsisi is a market of goods made out of copper. And yes, the variety of goods is stupefying. Watch the coppersmiths when they are working. They are very inclusive and friendly. They might end up teaching you a thing or two. Walk through lanes of this chaotic, crowded and lively market to discover the spirit of Gaziantep. Some say that this market is better than the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. Highlights include:
- A huge variety of pans, pots, plates and a lot more
- The Spices
- The detailed metal art
- The confectionary shops
- Leather goods
- Handicraft shops
- Artefacts and Souvenir shops
- Reasonable pricing

Bakircilar Carsisi, Gaziantep Reviews
Very nice bazaar with good quality and authentic products. Also spice market next to it. Worth to try the many foods and snaks they make.
A traditional Bazaar you could find traditional stuffs and also species and some other things. Clothes and shoes (Yemeni) are very nice
Amazing place. It's a must to visit at Gaziantep. The place is authentic historical area with hundreds of years old buildings. The bazaar has several shops offers wide eastern goods. All herbs are available there.. Turkish delights, amazing hand made leather products and cupped crafts.. prices are average and you have a bargain to get a good deal..
The Coppersmith Bazaar is fascinating, old traditions living on. Noted that most restaurants support this craft by using metal plates and dishes, well worth seeing and buying a few nice hand crafted items.
There are many shops that sell copper-made souvenirs. But almost all shops sell the same products. I suggest you to buy hand-made shoes which are in many different colours.
