A majority of the artwork still remains undiscovered. Highlights include:

Gaziantep Zeugma Mosaic Museum, Gaziantep Reviews

  • There are many beautiful mosaics inside the museum. The fee entrance is around $3. There are two buildings at the museum. The most beautiful mosaic is Gypsy Girl. It is famous for her eyes. You can get headphones before the entrance. You may start by watching the video about the museum wearing 3-d glass. You may spend two hours in the museum. After exit, you can buy souvenirs and some drinks. It is one of the best place in Gaziantep. Do not miss it.

  • Excellent mosaic collection. Rent the audio to get the full experience. You can easily spend 2 to 3 hours here. Modern building, clean bathrooms. A couple of extra couches will help take a break from the walk. Many children will disturb your attention so try to go early morning.

  • Everyone should see the iconic mosaic woman which is oldet but şess popular than Mona Lisa. The experience is quite similar. Turks must be proud of that. Also there are other very beautiful mosaics! Definitely go there!

  • Museum has a lot to offer if you're a history lover. You can see the leftovers from the antique city Zeugma which is now under waters. It's unfortunate that some important pieces has been smuggled in time by the treasure hunters but it's worth to visit what has left. You should spare two hours of yours and don't forget to take audio guide.

  • It is one of those museums that you put on your list of “Must see” places and you are not let down by the experience. Fantastic job of creating the displays and the information in both English and Turkish is a big positive too. It is a bit confusing when you want to exit - not really obvious, but then that added to the experience. Well done to everyone who contributed and helped rescue these from the Birecik Dam.
