Built in the year 2011, this is the biggest mosaic museum in the world. The mosaics are from Zeugma, an ancient city in the Gaziantep province. They started being discovered when the authorities started digging for new dam projects in the area. It is believed that extensive looting has happened in Zeugma since the 19th century. A majority of the artwork still remains undiscovered. Highlights include:
- Area of the museum: 90,000 square feet
- Recorded commentaries and written explanations in both Turkish and English
- The shop has a good variety of books
- Life-size models of Camel at the entrance of the museum
- Informative Cinema
- The world famous mosaic of the Gypsy girl
- Kids section
- Go as early as possible. As the day progresses, the place becomes more and more crowded.
- Cinema : 5 TL
- Bus: OtobusDuragi@MithatpasaMh.
- Hollanda Kiraathanesi
- Kebapci Mustafa Usta

Amazing, unforgettable experience. One of the best museums of Turkey in general and THE best mosaic museum, don't expect to find better one somewhere in İstanbul. Exquisite mosaics. Building of the museum is quite comfortable and with audio guide you won't miss any detail.
The best mosaic museum I have visited. Very well maintained. The exhibits were just amazing. sure not to be missed while in Gaziantep or nearby. Its quite large and one needs around 90 minutes to get to see everything. There is a small cafe and souvenirs shop out side.
Exquisite museum dedicated to mosaics. All mosaics were found in the vicinity of Gaziantep and scientifically restored as much as possible. They are mostly from second, third and fourth centuries. A must visit for any culture tourist.
There are many beautiful mosaics inside the museum. The fee entrance is around $3. There are two buildings at the museum. The most beautiful mosaic is Gypsy Girl. It is famous for her eyes. You can get headphones before the entrance. You may start by watching the video about the museum wearing 3-d glass. You may spend two hours in the museum. After exit, you can buy souvenirs and some drinks. It is one of the best place in Gaziantep. Do not miss it.
Amazing museum with incredible mosaics. A lot to see, better to spend more time than others. Feels like you flashback through time and walk in the historical places.
