Pedro’s Castle stands for not only what an 18th century castle looked like, but the 1780s was also a time when the population of the Cayman Islands was a grand total of 400. Dubbed as the oldest stone structure of the Cayman Islands, the Castle was rebuilt after a massive fire destroyed it. There’s no refuting why the Castle is a historic site- the first elected parliament democracy presided over proceedings here and the Slavery Abolition Act was signed in this former court and jailhouse.
Don’t miss out on the multimedia presentations that happen on the hour that tells a riveting tale of the Pedro Castle.

Pedro St. James National Historic Site, George Town Reviews - Write a Review
I'd say it's more of a 3-3.5 star, will give it a 4. It's a great location and neat to see. But there truly isn't much to see. It's a 3 story home with much neat history. But isn't worth the $12 entry fee, it's worth more like a $5.
Went for the kids day during pirates week. Didn't even know about the castle until we arrived. Very cool and interesting. Clean bathrooms.
Fun, informative, beautiful grounds and buildings. Pedro St. James was a great afternoon visit. I stayed for about 2 hours with plenty to do but you could stay shorter or longer and still have a good experience. They have a cool 4D movie presentation about the history of the house. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained and the house was very interesting.
Great place with lots of history. Tour guide Trisia is absolutely the best, great personality & a very joyful individual.
Very nice place to visit. The Rum tasting was great.
