Chew Jetty Cafe, George Town Reviews

  • Chew Jetty is kind of fishing village and waterfront settlement which is famous among tourists. In here you can find souvenir shops along the elevated wooden walkway, wooden houses, Chinese temple, and fishing boats. The scenary is wonderful but it can be very hot too. You might want to bring sunglasses and hat.

  • The place is not bad and it's very nice.... but it's quite ”commercial" at the house units. It's still quite good for short visit. There is a restaurant serving huge bowl of noodle, can have a try on it.

  • Very peaceful and such a sight to see. Loved how the locals preserved the simple and traditional style of the dock and pier. Beautiful place to visit at sunset/sunrise

  • Interesting location, with shops and people living on the old pier. We arrived a little late and everything was closed, so advise getting there before night time.

  • Super hot weather, sweat a lot, so remember to bring an umbrella and drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated. Thought it’s just a jetty with some views and nothing much, but along the way from the main road towards the jetty, shops are lined up, although not much but just enough to keep you interested. Shops selling souvenirs, dried food, coffee powder, bags and caps, food stall. Try the durian ice cream, it’s nice. Especially in such a weather, it’s a life “saver”.
