Overview of Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center
The Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center is essentially a wildlife refuge. It is named after its founder Tom Yawkey, an American industrialist. The refuge is erected on the same grounds that Yawkey inherited from his uncle and spent winters in the company of his wife. His love for birdwatching and outdoor activities fostered the idea of this wildlife center. He started the preservation with hardly any species, gradually increasing the number. Today the refuge spans across a massive 20,000 acres.

Tom Yawkey Wildlife Center Reviews & Ratings
Loved it! Definitely, I want to go back.
Lots of gators in the area. Beautiful place.
Convnient landing to put your boat in that is quick to get to the fishing holes but a little rough with the parking lot but is better than it used to be. I go there often for my fishing trips.
Beautiful place I'll suggest that guided tour through scdnr
An awesome place to get back to the real nature. Call ahead and set up an appointment for a tour and it's a place to bird-watch fish and go hiking
