Virginia Monument Reviews & Ratings

  • A site to see! I highly recommend the personal car tour guide from the visitors center. A wealth of information packed into a 2 hour run. Also they will personalize your tour depending on where you live! Great job, we really enjoyed it.

  • One of my favorite generals of all time sits on top of it. Very powerful, moving when you are there looking at what he tried to have his do. Very honored every time I am there.

  • Beautiful statue. Thought it was diminished a bit with the road going around it so people were just driving in circles vs getting out and actually looking around. There is a place on the Bridle path to tie up the horses if you want to take a closer look, otherwise you just walk around the back of the monument in the wood from the statue (thus don't get to see the front).

  • Gettysburg is always a solemn and educational experience. The battlefield park is very well maintained and when touring with a guide, you always learn something new. Bring a camera too!

  • This is from Gettysburg Pa. I went here when I was in 6 grade which was back in 2000. I loved visiting here and Washington D.C.
