Stedelijk Museum Vooractuelekunst, Ghent Reviews
Showing a small collection of new contemporary artwork from young Belgium artists. Which is a brave attempt... for a museum of this size. Some rooms work for me et some don't, but it's good to try.
Good museum with an interesting collection, but a bit small. You may finish quickly here.
Cool museum with nice exhibits. Spacy rooms gives the art pieces the respect they deserves, and the viewer possibilities to really appreciate the dimensional values of the works and comprehend the ideas behind them. Nice mix of video installations, audiostuff, light experiments and physical objects. Also some art for sale. I would give the museum five stars, but often missed explanations of the works. Its also a little confusing knowing what specific room one is in, due to lack of signs. But the quality of the elements makes up for a lot of it.
Good selection of modern art. You can easily spend at least half a day wondering though the collection. Easily accessible from the train station and close to other museums.
I became a "friend" of the museum, so that I can visit it whenever I want - given membership also gives me reductions on pieces of art, it pays for itself - the current exhibition downstairs wasn't my favorite - but upstairs was a great experience
