The Commonwealth War Cemetery Catania consists of burials of those soldiers who died in a fight just short of Catania and the ones who lost their lives in the battle for the Simeto river bridgehead. There is a total of 2,135 Commonwealth burials of those soldiers who died at the time of the Second World War out of which 112 are unidentified. Upon visiting the Commonwealth War Cemetery Catania, you would get an insight into the history, the happenings of the campaign and the horror of wars. This is a wonderful place to pay tribute to the fallen who died fighting for the country.
