The Gallery of Modern Art opened in the year 1996 and is housed in a neo-classical building that’s absolutely elegant. It was renovated with a fantastic combination of new and old architecture so as to house the modern art collection. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction and offers a thought-provoking program of workshops and various temporary exhibitions. It consists of a cafe, four galleries, a library, a shop and a tourist information centre. Gallery of Modern Art displays, collects and borrows artwork from all around the world and serves as a space for the people to learn and to share brilliant ideas.
