Loch Lomond - Review

The Loch Lomond is a beautiful lake in Glasgow. Surrounded by gorgeous hills that change colors with the seasons, this place is certainly a must see. The habitat is rich in flora and fauna and the lake is sprawling over several miles.

There is a lot to do in this area. Since the lake has been put under the conservation spectrum, you will be able to see a lot of wild life and birds in the vicinity. There are also several activities to do from jet skiing to boating and many more. This huge lake is an ideal spot for a day trip and picnic with family and friends in Glasgow.

A natural beauty par excellence, it makes sense to stay in the area to watch the sun go down and the leaves and trees change color. It is also ideal if you are looking for a peaceful and quite haunt in the city.

Loch Lomond, Glasgow Reviews

  • Lovely place. Good choice of parking spots around the loch (at least on the West side) - beautiful views on both the drive around and when parked up. Various beaches with clean water, perfect for a dip. Very clean, very little litter. Looked to be plenty of space for camping etc

  • Amazing place, nature everywhere. You can go by bike or car. Take food with you if you go by bike, you'll need it. There are no big hills so it's a great journey while enjoying the view. You can rent a bike in loch Lomond shores for 20£ (6 hours).

  • Loch Lomond is one of our most beautiful and iconic places. It was even the inspiration behind a love song that people in Scotland sing at several special occasions, usually at the end of a merry night out. It may have inspired the odd romantic tune, but what else is there to love about Loch Lomond?

  • After the delights of Edinburgh city this is the closest you will get to nature again. I drove for an hour and a bit but it was worth it. Parking was easy but the sights were breathtaking. Has to be on your scheduled activities and the kids loved it.

  • Beautiful Loch (Lake). Loch Ness is only more famous due to the assumed monster. If you can only visit one loch, do Loch Lomond! Better scenery, more relaxed. A Must have been there!
