  • This fairly modern cathedral dedicated to Saint Andrew strikes a stark contrast with Glasgow's much older, and more famous medieval cathedral. The metropolitan cathedral is bright and clean, small but striking. It sits on the bank of the Clyde, nestled comfortably in between even more modern buildings of Glasgow. Do stop inside to admire the white and gold interior, and step outside for a moment of peace in the memorial garden, with its water, mirrors and olive tree, a tribute to those who lost their lives in the tragedy of the Arandora Star.
