The Horseshoe Bar - Review

The horseshoe bar is a lovely little establishment in Glasgow. The place has everything from the charm to the hearty food that a typical Scottish bar needs. There is no need for presence here; the place is a good old fashioned bar and eatery making it a favorite for all types and tastes of people. This restaurant has been around for a long time and has created quite a reputation for itself too!

Even though varied types of people come here they do agree on one thing; the pie. If you are going to visit the horseshoe bar or any area under it, it is a given that you must get a taste of their delicious pie and maybe wash it down with a pint of ale. There are also an array of scrumptious dishes to sample and drinks to savor here as well. Do pay this one a visit if you want an authentic Scottish experience with a laid back and charming air.

The Horseshoe Bar, Glasgow Reviews

  • Accessed upstairs bar at approx 6pm on Saturday night on my first work day/night out. By that time there was already a 🎤 karaoke party going on with all types of revellers-a great mix of Glasgow's finest among others! Great atmosphere though the more we'll to do in our party looked somewhat bewildered and out of their depth! They were first timers. Having been many a time in years gone by it is a little rough and ready but I've always enjoyed the atmosphere, music and singing. All so good natured, the Horseshoe bar never disappoints if you're looking for an honest, unpretentious day or night with lots of laughs, singing and a wee boogie. Maybe not for the fainthearted or those seeking a good natter as you can't really hear much else! Personally I love it and can't wait to go back.

  • It's the bar, it's the vibe, it's the Horseshoe. Stuck down the Drury it looks all small and calm but it's a vibrant place especially when the football is on or the karaoke is happening. The karaoke is legendary. The prices are good. Head upstairs for the food.

  • Best pub in Glasgow, also had their three course meal for£4.95. don't know how they do it. I'd love the staff from my local to work in here for a day to learn how it's done properly. Attentive, hard working professionals. If there is anything to fault this pub I've never found it. High standards deserve high praise. Well done Horseshoe

  • Great traditional pub food and wide selection of drinks. Friendly atmosphere of locals and visitors with very helpful staff.

  • This pub was recommended, it didn't disappoint. Full of locals for the karaoke upstairs. Great night.
