The Rogano - Review
In the Downtown area of Glasgow you will find this lovely restaurant. The specialty of the Rogano is its lip-smacking and fresh seafood. They have an amazing variety of dishes on offer in a variety of different styles. They also have separate afternoon tea and breakfast menus to choose from as well. The place is divided into a few different venues. The oyster bar serves amazing drinks and quite a few snacks as well as light meals. The actual restaurant is fine dining styled. There is also a cafe that serves up light snacks as well as delicious vegetarian food as well. You can also avail their private dining facilities if you are looking for something a bit more intimate.
You will need to make reservations and dressing is generally on the formal side but delicious seafood is always worth that kind of effort.

The Rogano, Glasgow Reviews
Lovely place to eat. A bit of a step back in time... but a good one!! Beautiful food and lovely thoughtful staff. Great gluten free selection.
Visited Cafe Rogano in the basement. A real feeling of a 1920's speak easy. Food was delicious - less fish on the menu than upstairs - and service excellent.
Fab restaurant....love it here. Great staff, excellent food and art deco interior. What's not to like ?
It seems like this place is coasting on its reputation. The food was expensive, unexceptional, and a bit strange. Many of the dishes had bad aftertastes and, coupled with the musty interior, I left feeling sick. It's also quite expensive (23 pounds for a salmon main) and not worth the price.
Fantastic food, attentive and professional service. Love the experience and traditional setting. Definitely go again when next in Glasgow.
