Skye Weavers - Review

This small woolen factory outlet produces special woolen clothes, woolen linens and woolen accessories on a cycle peddled loom! Roger and Andrea, the proud owners of this workshop describe the working of their self-designed loom with great fashion and will also let you try your feet on it! The designs and colors of clothes are largely inspired by the local settings and things that signify Scotland- grass, pebbles, grasslands and many more. Each piece of clothing is uniquely fashioned and is often a mono piece of its style. Skye Weavers has done a great contribution to the local farmers and weavers by creating a source of earning through the establishment of this outlet.

Skye Weavers, Glendale Reviews

  • Just arrived Skye and visit this small factory and shop, glad to find such nice and good quality wool products which are locally made.

  • A wonderful place run by wonderful people. Highly recommended! :)

  • Wonderful place to visit.. There is small factory and small shop to buy decent quality items they are produced with a local wool. We buy two beautiful scarfs. I’m very appropriate that we visited on closer day, but the owner was super lovely to open the door for us.

  • That is the place to buy high quality tweed fabrics which were manufactured with special care and attention, the weaver/owner loves his work/business.

  • Do stop on your way to the Nest Point; or push a little further if you're going to the Three Chimneys : beautiful craftsmanship ; the owner will gladly explain how the warping and weaving works; and you'll leave with a scarf as you can't resist the softness of it ;)
