Reverchon Park Reviews & Ratings
I love this park Reverchon Park and I enjoy my time there every time. It is connected to the Katy Trails with steps within the forest, which make for a great walking trail on Sundays. It is also near Turtle Creek and it is a very big area overall even though it is inside the city of Dallas. Sometimes we go there for a picnic after a good walk along the trails.
My 18-month old daughter has never had so much fun at a single playground! (She's a climber!) We had to pry her away to go eat lunch and she is generally bored after 20 minutes. The climbing apparati are quite varied, lots of different slides and two age grouped playgrounds. The real bonus is that it's 100% canopied so in 100+ degree Texas weather, your baby can safely play!
Wonderful park with lots of activity. There is only one major problem....The City of Dallas expects residents to keep their dogs on a leash. They have not made a single effort to enclose part of it to make an off leash dog park. In such a dog friendly city it doesn't really show when it comes to Reverchon. They also don't have any lights on in the evening when it gets dark around 7 or 8 there are only a few lights out and that's so dangerous for anyone caught out late. I wish Dallas would take the time to realize how much potential the park has.
Great for dogs and exercise. The kids were playing happily. There was a softball game going. I still had my taser tho. The area has it's history.
I was part of the "Carry The Load" honoring military veterans and active-duty troops. Glad I was able to be a part of something so special. Thanks Dad, Uncles and my cousins thank you so much for your service.
