  • The employees at Burr Oak Lodge were amazingly nice and helpful! They helped me choose my hiking path for the day. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and the lobby was so cozy! The only downside was, even though it is a smoke free environment, the whole hallway smelled like someone had smoked at least three packs.

  • I have been staying here every November because it is the home of my favorite marathon, The Bobcat. While the lodge has never been luxurious, it has historically been nice. But this year it feels like they have given up on maintaining the lodge. Multiple fixtures in our room were broken (I got locked in the bathroom). There were scraps of lumber under one of the beds, which was a little weird. Mold in the shower. I took my daughter to the pool, which was renovated last year, but the lights were off and there was no switch in sight. I went to the front desk, but they didn't seem to know how to turn the lights on. (Also, the renovated pool room has duct tape over the exterior doors.) The next day when I asked for towels, they never arrived, so I went to get them myself. It seems like the lodge and its staff have just given up. This year's experience is enough to make me consider a different option for a race next November.

  • We had a very restful stay. The buffet needs a little help , would help if they had bowls for the oatmeal , grits and yogurt. Could add fruit, and cream cheese for the bagels. Was good price The wait staff were very friendly. Room was great .

  • Never been to Burr Oak before, and was pleasantly surprised! Of course, the park itself was gorgeous. I was very impressed by the quality of our room at the lodge- very spacious, and very clean. Had some friends who were staying in one of the canine, which itself was very spacious - pretty much a full house, with a back screened-in porch. Though the had obviously not been renovated as recently as the lodge, I could still see that you get a lot for your money.

  • State lodge and park, big lake, was here Nov 3rd fall colors awesome here. Nice clean indoor pool, bar drinks a little pricey, paid 179 for 1king bed room. Was a bit of adventure getting to it as its in middle of bfe, but great place to hide out. I enjoyed it. Would stay again.
