The Gokarna Beach, also known as Indian beach is the most popular as well the most dirty amongst all other beaches. Pilgrims visit this beach as it is closest to the temple resulting in it being crowded most of the time. The waters here are not suitable for bathing but it’s still a nice place to visit.

Good beach and notable one especially for its Om shape on the shore. Great place for taking photos but the waters are dirty on the part of the beach when you approach it from the north(climbing down the steps). A bar on the shore is nice to chill out.
Amazing and lovely beach of GOKARNA. It is very beautiful beach and popular among peoples. There are green mountains in left side of beach. And very crowded beach. Beach is clean and safe for playing in the sea.
Dirty, crowded, the beach is at the receiving end of several drains from the town. The cows are featless and would approach humans for food, which looks very sweet initially. But their humongous population wouldn't even let you have peanuts at peace by the beach. The police over there are exploitative. Unlike other over crowded beaches, even good food isn't available in the shops nearby the beach.
Most commercial place from all the beaches. But mostly because it's the most accessible from all. It's not super clean or anything and can be very crowded on holidays. But still better than urban beaches.
One of the most chilled out places on the east coast of India. Loads of empty beaches and stretches of empty plots to pitch a tent and camp out. Must visit if you're on the way to Goa or Karwar. The drive to this place is amazing and goes through very scenic roads.
