  • A good quite beach to visit. It has a series of good enough open restaurants along it. A relatively small part of the beach around the entrance stays crowded and has lifeguards. But moving away from it by around a 100 metres you get a tranquil sea shore. It is a very attractive situation in case you don't like crowds. It is also great for swimmers as you can swim far into the ocean without anyone making a fuss about it.... There is no water sports available there by the way. So don't get your hopes high on that. But Gokarna has other beaches with water sports. So don't get disappointed....

  • Gokarna Beach is very nearer to the main temple. Unlike other beaches this is easily accessible. Good for elders, families and kids. A clean, safe, pleasant and peaceful surroundings. This beach is less visited by foreign tourists and more by locals. One can have a good view of sun set. Adi Sankaracharya’s statue is located at parking place.

  • If you like silent beaches with less crowd, this is the right option. Sunsets are the most beautiful things to witness here. The water is also fresh. But choppy waves at times. You can also camp on the shore during nights.

  • Superb beach.. As usual sunset is great to see out here... Usual amenities and facilities can be expected... Can meet some nice people..

  • Absolutely speechless! Reminded me of my hometown. Calm beach. Shacks! The food! Flea markets. You'll be surprised by the number of foreigners who've been living there for months! Way better than Goa! I'll go again for a week.
