About Om Beach, Gokarna

Located just adjacent to Kudle beach, Om beach has a very calm and serene vibe to it. The sand here is much finer than the Kudle beach. The beach has been named as ‘Om’ since its shape resembles the Sanskrit word ‘Om’, when seen from above. A good place for long strolls, there are a couple of restaurants nearby for refreshments. There are also a few shacks and huts for relaxation.

Om Beach, Gokarna Reviews

  • A real long stretch of beach, that everyone would love. A rocky beach in between 2 coves shaped in the form of "Om". The preferred time to visit is during the evenings where you will find a bit of people and the weather a bit pleasant. During day time its too hot and the winds don't come to rescue either. The waves here a bit less so you can take a bath here. But without those tides it ain't no fun eh !

  • It's a nice beach. Usually crowded. You have 2 wheeler parking space on top and then you can walk down to the beach. There are lots of shacks to chill out. You can set up tents on the beach as it's officially not permitted. If you walk to the other end of the beach, you can trek to half moon beach and set up your tents. But be aware that it can get very crowded during festive seasons

  • Was on short visit.. I will go back for a day adventure as it has Trekking, swimming and for the peaceful views as this place is not crowded. Please visit with own vehicle or rental. Try to avoid Rickshawala's here. Specially if you are foreigner they have Tripled up price and you can't bargain as they are One team. If anyone try to give drop, they will be stopped.

  • Very beautiful beach with clean water and sand. One would love to sunbath here and play in the waves coming over to the beach. Lot of foreigners too visit this place. Weekends are crowded but week days are quite except for the evening part. Local tourist are also visiting the place perticularly from Bangalore.

  • As the name suggest the two beaches located here are in the shape of om symbol. It is tourist attraction place. Place is usually not crowded. It is a good place to go and relax, have bath. It is very attractive there. Budget resorts are available there. A few shacks are available for food. It attracts a lot of foreign crowd.
