Kaiserpfalz or the Imperial Palace of Goslar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the foothills of Rammelsberg Hill and consists of the Kaiserhauz, St Simon’s and St Jude’s Collegiate Church, St Ulrich palace chapel and the Church Of Our Lady. Restored in the late 19th century, the Imperial Palace of Goslar was built during the reign of Henry III in between 1040 to 1050. The 7 metres high upper storey of the palace also houses the Imperial Throne. The row of windows on the East wing offers the panoramic view of the palace district while the columned balcony on the West wing has three arched windows. The exhibit on the Ground Floor has seven vaults where you can see the treasures such as the Bronze Throne and the protector Griffin.
