Javna Ustanova "park Prirode Velebit" encompasses an area of 2200 square kilometres, stretching from the Vratnik pass to the Zrmanja canyon. The park happens to be Republic of Croatia’s largest protected area and was done so because of its rich natural values and for the need to preserve the biodiversity. Nestled within Javna Ustanova "park Prirode Velebit" are two national parks namely, National Park North Velebit and National Park Paklenica. There’s a lot to see and do within the park and upon visiting, you would get to know more about the stories, the legends and the history associated with it.
