Liseberg Amusement Park - Review

Liseberg is an entertainment park situated in Gothenburg. It was opened in 1923. There are many attractive gardens, a Sculpture Park, restaurants, bars and hotels which make it a paradise for the visitors. A part from the summer season, Liseberg also remains open in November and December, hosting a Christmas market with typical Swedish cuisine like mulled wine and delicacies like a doner kebab prepared from reindeer meat. The authorized Liseberg’s colors are green and pink as may be seen at the entry and old buildings in the park. These colors were also approved for a logo that was introduced in the 1980s.

Liseberg offers different types of fun rides such as bumper cars, flying teacups, the  Ferris wheel and a thrilling circular roller coaster. Among water rides, flume ride, Kallerado and the kiddie rides Rabbit River, Lilla Frogs, Trummeliten are popular. There are two entrances and exits. Most of the park is in the midst of a dense forest. It is known for its Liseberg Lustgarten which is wonderfully landscaped and has a number of artworks, waterfalls and various plants. In addition to such the rides, there are some other attractions as well, like Universeum, Gasten Ghost Hotel, Arcade games (needs extra charge), shows, concerts and other performances. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Gothenburg itinerary 1 day.

Liseberg Amusement Park, Gothenburg Reviews

  • The best entertainment park in my opinion in Europe. Variety of attractions for children and adults, emotions are full. I want to go there again and again. The skilled staff is very friendly. My baby go lost on the playground, the staff quickly worked, they found us parents. Prices are good. A large selection of places where you can eat delicious. I hope to visit Liseberg next year.

  • We had a great time and the kids loved it there. Perfect for a 4 and 6 year old. Remember to measure your kids before you buy the ride passes to make sure you/they will be able to go on all the rides. You can do this at the customer service center and at the same time get a bracelet indicating the child's height to help speed things along at the rides.

  • Awesome park! Been to many theme parks so far and have to say, that is not the biggest one. So if it's about the park size, the roughly 50 euro per person are tough. But honestly it's worth every cent! They have some awesome attractions. Specially helix is an awesome roller coaster and if you're buying priority tickets you'll get into the park 1,5 hours earlier and could fully use all of the big attractions without waiting for long. I like the park and recommend it to all theme park lovers travelling in Sweden!!

  • Fun rides for all the family. From slow car and airplane rides for the very young to fast paced roller coasters for hard-core adrenaline junkies, with different levels in between. Practically everyone at the park speaks English, though all signage is in Swedish. The park also includes entertainment areas (mostly Swedish language) and many restaurants. I was there in mid-August, and most rides had waiting times of between 10 and 20 minutes, with the more popular roller coasters having a waiting time of 30-40 minutes. After 4pm, you could practically walk right onto the kids' rides, though the popular adult rides still had a 30-40 minute waiting time. At around Eur45 per person for unlimited rides, it is not too expensive. Definitely a must visit sit if you're spending a few days in Gothenburg.

  • The best amusement park in Sweden, no doubt. The mix of things to do for young and old. For the small ones there is a great childrens area south playground, face painting and rides. From there it will only get better...bigger rides, more things to do and more things to see (and more things to spend money on). Don't get me wrong, this place is great and well worth a visit. You can save money by packing a lunch or coffee instead of buying there. Download the app to keep track of queue times and expect long wait for the most popular rides during peak days (up to an hour is not uncommon). With a selection of great roller-coasters and stationary rides from gentle to insane there is something for the whole family. Still, plan your visit, work out what you want to do and which rides and whether a ride pass or a ticket pack is better for you. If you plan ahead you will be fine...and have a great time.
