The Museum De Moriaan is a renowned Museum that was well-known for housing pottery and a collection of pipes belonging to the 20th century. However, the collection of pottery has now been moved to Museum Gouda. In the year 2007, the museum became a museum of National Pharmaceutical and Apothecary and portrays the history of medicine from 16th century. The Museum De Moriaan is housed in a house that has a Renaissance façade that was built somewhere around 1617. The aim of the Museum was to portray the pharmacy’s history to a broader audience and highlight the development of medicines.
