Marktbreit – Malerwinkel on the southernmost tip of Main River is a medieval town in the Kitzingen district. The town is the birthplace of Alois Alzheimer who was the first victim of the Alzheimer’s disease and while visiting the town, a quick visit to his birthplace is a must. There are various guided tours available here which approximately take 1-2 hours. You can take a walk inside the crane or explore the trading houses and their courtyards with baroque styled architecture. The Renaissance City Hall bears its rich history and inside it a vintage wedding room will keep you hooked. Other attractions of Marktbreit – Malerwinkel include the Renaissance Castle and the Lutheran Church along with 16th century tombs.
