As is the case with the rest of Brazil, Gramado possesses a maritime climate that comes along with hot summers (however not as hot as the rest of Brazil) and mild winters. The best time to visit Gramado falls somewhere between June to November that spans winters first and then spring. Summers can be bit harsh so it is a nice idea to avoid that period to visit Gramado.
Winters: Falling between June to September, the winters in Gramado sees cold days and nights making it one of the best seasons to visit. The rest of Brazil visits Gramado at this time and hotels remain the most expensive and busiest. The average daily in winter days can reach as far as a very mild 18-20 degree Celsius, but the temperatures drop at night, coming down to around 7 degree Celsius. Expect rains and fog during this season.
Spring: Spring is the most beautiful time to visit Gramado as the whole city gets enveloped in blooming hydrangeas. During October and November, the day time temperatures begin to raise upto 20 degree Celsius and the overnight temperatures warm to around 15 degree Celsius. Expect showers anytime during this season and do bring some waterproof jackets with you! Gramado is also known as the Christmas capital of Brazil so visiting it during December can leave you entertained with a number of Christmas themed events and activities. The Natal Luz Festival also falls during this time and spans for a month.
Summers: Starting from January, summers can get bit harsh and is therefore, not a recommended time to visit.
