Aqualand Maspalomas, Gran Canaria Reviews - Write a Review
We visited Aqualand in October, which allowed us to enjoy it without many people around and long queues. I really appreciated stuff at each attractions which were taking care of visitor's safety. Some stuff were really overpriced (such as lockers!) But it was lovely evening after all :)
Brilliant day out. Very clean place and well run. Food and drink prices weren't as bad as we were expecting. We got a local bus up there and it was tidy as well with aircon. Well worth the day out and good value for money.
I thought that some of the other reviews were a bit unkind. I was in a party of ten when I visited this attraction. We cued, paid the normal prices for adults and children and then entered the park without much fuss. I thought that the prices were comparable with similar places. (I paid €6 for a pair of flip flops and if I'd thought properly I should have paid €9 for the dive boots because I wouldn't have had to take these off to ride. Wearing nothing on your feet is not sensible because it gets really hot after midday. ) The food was actually very good. ( Burger and homemade chips was €10.50 and the burger was a really thick 1/4lb which beat me in the end. The burger was cooked properly but in a Spanish style so don't be put off by the colour of the meat once you bite it. If this seems a bit expensive just think of the prices of food at Alton Towers or Thorpe Park. ) The staff were friendly and helpful but listen to the lifeguards because they can get upset when people break or ignore the rules. I spoke with all the staff in english and had no problems with communication. There is a fast pass type scheme for an extra €10 per person and I don't know how much time it saves in the cue because I didn't opt for this. I managed to get on plenty of rides and spend quality time with the little ones in the dedicated area for smaller people. I was really impressed by the level of help given to the family of a disabled boy. The site was clean and tidy. We had a great day and thought it was good value for money
Very average park in dire need of an upgrade and repairs. Young children will enjoy as they see only the water. Adult groups who have been to Siam Park will be greatly dissapointed. Slides are very basic with the Boomerang slide being pointless therefore empty. Sunbeds are not free. No lazy river. Water on slides isn't the cleanest. Staff are not at all friendly and so full of themselves with the little authority that they have. You can be in and out on a slow day in 3 hours if you stand all day and not take a sunbed and not have a meal. The inside of the bucket splash at the children's park is super rusty. No comparison to Siam Park. I wouldn't go again.
Its great for families! Its something for everyone even for the youngest! Kids need to be at least 1m tall to go on the big slides accompanied by an adult. Or 1.20m plus to go on their own. But there is a huge kids aqua park for the little ones to enjoy too.
