Puerto De Mogan - Review
Puerto de Mogan is situated on the south-west coast of Gran Canaria and is the most picturesque resort on the island. Residents claim that the Puerto de Mogan weather is the best in the world! This is a pedestrianised (closed to vehicles, open to pedestrians) town of two-storey apartment buildings with roof terraces and small gardens bursting with bougainvillea, palm trees, bird-of-paradise flowers, hibiscus and other colourful plants. It is also known as "La Venecia de Canarias" (the "Venice of the Canaries") as it is built around a marina and fishing harbour, and has channels of water passing under arches in the buildings and between the port and the beach. A quaint and beautiful town where one can spend a couple of days soaking in the peace around. For those who want a bit of excitement, there are jet skis for hire, parascending, sport-fishing excursions and submarine trips to a local wreck. Various hotels, clubs and restaurants are available to cater to visitors for their stay here.

Puerto De Mogan, Gran Canaria Reviews
Lovely atmosphere, very different to Puerto Rico, very nice bars and restaurants. Lovely beach. Not a great deal to do but very much worth a visit. The submarine trip from the harbour was fun, not too expensive either. Return trip from Puerto Rico was only €12
Beautiful place to visit. We were there on Friday when the market was on. There are hundreds and hundreds of stalls round every corner. But the town itself is lovely. Flowers growing on every street makes it very picturesque. Definitely worth a visit.
Small and very picturesque village by the ocean. Great views, excellent atmosphere, a lot of restaurants. Unfortunately also crowds if tourists (yes! We are no the only one to hunt for an adventure
One of the best looking harbours and towns in Gran Canaria. Harbour buildings look really good with all the new paint. The harbour itself is neat. Fishing pier is nice. The old town portion is well maintained and what is really important most of the houses and buildings are accompanied by plants that are receiving really good treatment because they look lovely and flourishing! We did like the visit very much and would recommend it to anybody that can come and see it!
Yes, it's a small village constructed exclusively for tourists, but still defenitely worth visiting! Lovely place, flowered all over, beautiful clean water in the Port where different fish even cool ones, can be spotted (really surprised us!). Worth spending an afternoon.
