The Los Derriscaderos within the 268 hectares of an area on the southern gradient of the Tenerife Island is a popular hiking area. Blessed with magnificent pumice tuffs and basalt rock formations created by lava flows and wind erosion, the trek will leave you spellbound. The natural rock formations reflect a riot of colors like ochre, deep and light brown, grey and yellow. To explore the Los Derriscaderos you will need to trek through the dirt trail and the deep ravines running through Barrancos de La Mula. The variegated flora namely balos, amagantes, lavandula, cardones, tabaibas, and gamonas will keep you company along the path.
