The Cape Final Trail is located on the Walhalla plateau on the North Rim route in the Grand Canyon. The Trail is only 2 miles long but gives an enriching experience as it almost has a fairytale sort of ambience to it. Back packers can camp down once they touch the trail through the Cape Royal Road and ends at Cape Final at an elevation 7,916 ft. The trail is recommended for everyone as unlike other trails this one gives a very personal feel by taking you through the woods.

Cape Final Trail Reviews & Ratings
Well worth the 3-mile hike to get here. Not too many people take the hike to get here in comparison to the other viewpoints. This makes it a very worth while trip to a very scenic and serene place. If I go back and have more time to stay longer, I would like to go a little bit off the path to see what hidden spots not many venture to.
Amazing hike. Well worth the time it takes to get there. Views are fantastic.
Sitting here watching the sunrise was breathtaking and life-changing unbelievable experience
The trail takes you through the forest then out to the rim. This is the biggest view of the Canyon that I have seen, North or South Rim, and I lived at the South rim for 5 months. It is definitely worth the 2 mile hike to see this. Climb up on the rocks for the best views. It is so big that with my wide angle lens I still had to take 4 pictures to get the whole thing. A must do if you go to the North rim.
Recommend! Our GPS read just over 4 miles round trip - rocky uphill start, forested flat in the middle, and very short hill near end with Boulder ledge over the Grand Canyon with incredible perspective and huge vantage point here! Can see the South Rim Lookout Tower, and see so many juts of the Canyon. Take food & water if there is any question - many miles from general store / supplies!
