About Hopi Point, Grand Canyon National Park

Hopi Point comes as the fourth stop on the red route and is one of the few spots from where the whole canyon comes into perspective. It stands at about 6,800ft tall and right opposite to it lies a very old temple. Hopi Point has a fenced viewing area next to the road, and a vista over the canyon centred on Dana Butte, a flat mesa 2,000 feet below the overlook. It is accessible by shuttle in summer and fall, making it one of the best spots to enjoy the sunset.

Hopi Point, Grand Canyon National Park Reviews

  • Take shuttle to Hermits and hike back to village. It's easier than other way. Great hike little over 7 miles. Took me 4h with stops for pictures. Trail is well maintained. Great views. Did it in March 20 2018. Below few pictures

  • This is one of the places where the shuttle buses stop and where you can have a beautiful view over the Grand Canyon. You can take some really nice pictures here, but be careful not to go to close to the edge, it's a long way down. It's worth the visit.

  • The Grand Canyon must be seen in person to appreciate it. Pics do no justice. The sheer enormity of scale is mind-blowing! The drop offs are spectacular and huge!

  • The Beauty and the peace you find in the Grand Canyon is something you without compare. It's such an awesome and spiritual place. I highly recommend people to go there.

  • Beautiful scenery. Take photos and bask in God's beauty.
