Hopi Point comes as the fourth stop on the red route and is one of the few spots from where the whole canyon comes into perspective. It stands at about 6,800ft tall and right opposite to it lies a very old temple. Hopi Point has a fenced viewing area next to the road, and a vista over the canyon centred on Dana Butte, a flat mesa 2,000 feet below the overlook. It is accessible by shuttle in summer and fall, making it one of the best spots to enjoy the sunset.

  • Will always rate any part of the Grand Canyon with 5 🌟. Hoping point is no exception. The views are breathtaking. No picture will do them justice. You really must go & take it all in in person! & If you're not up for much walking, the shuttle busses are very reliable, running every 10-15 min.

  • This was the highlight stop of them all. What a view! There's also a restroom here so definitely make this a stop. It steps out into the canyon giving you a spectacular view and it's where I could get the best perspective, see the river and get that all important sense of scale.

  • Nice views. Colorado seen. Sweeping views. Nice bus service to an hour after sunset. Was happy at Hopi

  • Hopi Point is part of a cluster of viewpoint stops on the Hermit Rest Drive and Rim Trail, a few miles outside of the Grand Canyon Village. From here the views into canyon are outstanding, providing some very good photograph opportunities for visitors. This viewpoint is just past Powell Point and offers great 180 degree views of the North Rim, westward and eastward parts of the Grand Canyon. This is the first of the viewpoint stops, going west, that offer views of the Colorado River, which you can see glimpses of when scanning the canyon floor. Note: There are a few spots to park a car here and free shuttle village stop nearby. You can also reach Hopi Point by way of the Rim Trail walk.

  • What more can we say, it's Grand and a Canyon. The history of this place is also shared in a respectful manner to those who have called this canyon home for 1000s of years.
