Hiking down from the rim to the Inner canyons can be quite cumbersome as the terrain becomes completely different. One of the reasons are the Poison Ivy plants which are abundant in the terrain. The other being the area is quite probe to bears and other wild animals. You’d have to stay in the Phantom ranch for 3 days and do prior bookings.
