Toroweap or Tuweep is probably one of the most scenic points in the canyon, a place which looks drawn straight out of a painting. The overlook falls on the North Rim route of the canyon is about 3000 ft high. It stands exactly above the Colorado River and can be accessed by a dirt road. There is parking available nearby. Being an open spot it is not frequently visited making it quite aloof and a perfect place to enjoy a sunset.

Toroweap Point Reviews & Ratings
I heard that it is a beautiful place so we are going to go soon
It's awesomely scary to be on the edge. The way I recall it it's a long long long dirt road. Like 20 miles or more.
This is beautiful portion of the Grand Canyon seldom seen compared to the much more popular North and South Rim destinations. The lower gorge of the the Grand Canyon is beautiful and very different than the views at the north end south rims. As you are headed south all of a sudden the canyon simply drops many feet down to the Colorado River. From edge to edge I would say about a mile across. This place simply rubbed me the right way. Loved it.
Difficult to get to but worth the drive. Make sure you have a spare tire!
