Fondation Culturelle Islamique de Genève is a beautiful mosque in Genève. A place of worship for the Muslim community, this mosque is the largest of its kind in Switzerland and can occupy around 1,500 worshippers. It was constructed in the year 1978 and is a splendid piece of architecture. The mosque has a single minaret which stands tall at a height of 22 meters. The roof of the mosque is made of glass that lets daylight illuminate the insides of the mosque. The interiors of the mosque are quite simple yet elegant. The place of worship is kept very clean and is surrounded by well-manicured lawns.
