Grand View Point Reviews & Ratings
Steep hike that is worth the effort. Best view of the Teton range I have found in the park.
Hard to find parking lot and trail head. Currently under construction. Beautiful rewarding views. We didn’t go all the way up but still had a wonderful view of the lake and the Tetons.
Great views. Dropping down to the west is Pilgrim Creek - a great example of a braided river deposition environment.
Be careful! There's a 'fake' stop that gives a good view but the REAL good view is if you keep moving up. Don't be fooled. You'll know when you're there. Just did this hike 6/24/17 with my cousin and some people in our tour group. It's steep but so worth it!
Great walk!! Great experience!!! It is imperative that you carry bear spray with you. Although we did not come across any bears, it is an area full of them and precautions must be taken. My uncles and I went around the two lakes (you can see the trail online) and it took us about 7 hours. One of the crossings was flooded and we had to go into the stream with water around our waistline in order to proceed. Please do not do such thing without the necessary equipment. My uncles are experienced hikers and we had all the kit necessary to perform such crossing. Do not ruin your experience. Do not go into the water as there might be strong currents or other nasty obstacles.
