The Port-Royal National Historic Site is located on the north basin of the Annapolis Basin. It is a National Historic Site on Annapolis Royal. The site was built in 1605 by the French and was France’s first settlement in North America. It features a reconstructed habitation. The place has people dressed as French Men who act as interpreters and explain the difficulties faced by the French while establishing the Port-Royal National Historic Site.
