Sprawling over 1688 acres of pristine woodlands and wetland system, the Central Kentucky Wildlife Management Area offers controlled hunting, skeet and trap shooting, fishing and hiking. A number of ponds are scattered around this nature reserve that are perfect for fishing. The open grass fields are home to a plethora of grassland birds and hence, it is birdwatchers’ retreat. The 100-yard rifle range is perfect for practicing your shooting skills. There is also an archery range and you can enjoy hunting the native animals such as the whitetail deer but in a sustained way. You can train your dog here too. The trails meandering through the Central Kentucky Wildlife Management Area will let you enjoy the nature wholeheartedly.
