At first look, the building in which this art exhibition space is housed looks like something an alien dropped. Indeed, that’s what most people call it, a ‘friendly alien’. Others say it looks like a strange, black frog. The building is especially striking at night, when it glows with the light under its skin. The building has no permanent exhibition; it does not collect art. However, its temporary exhibitions are usually spectacular. They focus mostly on modern and contemporary art.

It's an ok museum, a little small and when I went one of the floors was closed. They had an exhibition about Ghana and its history which was interesting from a historical perspective but not from an art perspective. There is a deck at the 4th floor where you can look out onto the city giving you a nice view. It cost under 10 euro which is an appropriate price. It will take you around two hours if you want to read every single thing, around an hour if you're just looking at the highlights.
Amazing exterior architecture, adds nicely to the skyline and very interesting to see from places such as the castle. Inside on the bottom floor they have a store and a café/restaurant which is quite expensive. The exhibition was alright, not that much there and the first floor was relatively weird/creepy. The view from the "needle" was really good and you could see a lot of Graz and the surrounding buildings. Overall I'd recommend seeing it, and it depends on the exhibition they have on to whether you wish to go to see it.
I used this spot as a remote working place for a couple of days. The drinks and food selection were enough to keep me going for hours at a time, and the staff and other folks were all suitably lovely. In the evening it turns into more of a bar with electro music, but retains a good vibe still. Great location too, and virtually everything else is Graz is within easy walking distance.
Very cool to look at from the outside. It really fits the name "Alien" but the exhibit inside is small and people tend to say the interior is not as cool as the exterior. Also for the euros you must pay to enter, the amount of art and installations inside dont seem worth the price. Still cool though!
Favourite place to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or get a drink in the evening. The food is super delicious, I can especially recommend the "Kaspressknödel Suppe". They also have vegetarian and vegan options that are very tasty. Prices are okay, definitely not cheap but the money is worth it! Urban and chilled atmosphere. Staff is friendly and the location is top!
