Spread over a large area of 389 acres, Hedden Park is located in the Town of Dover and the Townships of Mine Hill and Randolph. Hedden Park is divided into two sections. The lake section is reachable from Ford Street and Reservoir Avenue and provides entrance to the picturesque 6-acre Hedden Pond. Here you will also see a fishing deck, a playground, and picnic shelter. In addition to this, there is a picnic area and a multi-purpose field. Both sections of Hedden County Park have access to ball fields, multi-purpose fields, open green space, meandering hiking trails, and restroom facilities.

  • Fantastic picnic spot.. From Rt-10 just 3 mile far away. Spending time with nature, playing tennis, base ball. Who are all have hobby like taking natural scenery, this one right place to do.. I Recommended all to come once.

  • I love this park for the simple fact that it's trail is unmarked but very easy to walk along. The park is complimented with a long water stream, playground, field area and plenty of parking. Easily accessible through Dover and into Randolph.

  • Great place to hike and picnic. They were many turtles in the pond, if you take time and look into it. you can find many of them! I never noticed this place, until i went there!!

  • Hidden Gem! Great hiking, rough terrain and some steep parts. Trails can be marked a little better. All in all, we loved it and will be back.

  • Seems secluded, like a pearl inside its shell. There is a lake, wildlife who seemed undisturbed by our presence there. Beautiful shady areas with brooks and streams that give you that serenity feeling. Picnic areas for coal grilling. Only disappointment: people leave behind plastic cups and bottles. Geez!! We were just looking for a peaceful retreat, ended cleaning some of that mess. Hopefully if you go, please just take your garbage with you. Luscious foliage, plants and tree diversity to enjoy it to the max. There's a little kids area playground. Says 5 to 12 y.o. I would say it's more like 3 to 8. There's a big gazebo, bathroom facilities fairly clean and plenty of parking on shaded areas. All in all, a little gem with easy access from the center of Dover Township, NJ and Route 10.
